Girls Soccer

Region 12

MANTI, Utah-Taylie Mickelsen scored twice and the Manti Templars edged Carbon 4-3 in Region 12 girls soccer play Thursday. Chloe Olson and Brooklyn Olson also scored in the win for Manti. Malia Smith scored twice in defeat for the Dinos.

NEPHI, Utah-Abigail Philpot scored and the North Sanpete Hawks blanked Juab 1-0 Thursday in Region 12 girls soccer play. Keira Murphy earned the shutout in the net for the Hawks in the win.

CEDAR CITY, Utah-Maya Nichols and Hadlee Farrow each scored twice and the Canyon View Falcons routed Delta 7-0 in Region 12 girls soccer play Thursday. Tess Bailey earned the shutout in the net for the Falcons in the win.

RICHFIELD, Utah-Mylee Jensen scored twice and the Richfield Wildcats doubled up Emery 4-2 in Region 12 girls soccer play Thursday. Alyssa Rosquist and Lilly Evensen also scored in the win for Richfield. Megan Stilson scored twice in the loss for the Spartans.

2A South

BEAVER, Utah-Abbigail Cox netted a hat trick and the Beaver Beavers bested Millard 5-3 Thursday in 2A South girls soccer play. Caprie McNeill and Timmery LeBaron also scored in victory for Beaver. Laura Nelson scored twice in the loss for the Rams.

MONROE, Utah-Carley Braman amassed a hat trick and the Millard Eagles pounded South Sevier 5-1 in 2A South girls soccer play Thursday. Maggie Stephens scored two more goals in the win for Millard. Savanah Brady scored in defeat for the Rams.

Boys Golf

Region 18

BEAVER, Utah-The Beaver Beavers won a Region 18 boys golf tournament on their home course by shooting a 306 as a team at Canyon Breeze Golf Course. South Sevier came in second, 15 strokes behind, with a 321, followed by Enterprise with a 338. Parowan came in fourth place with a 347, then Millard and Kanab rounded out the field, each shooting a 351.

Individually Kavin Oakden of Beaver and McCoy Jones of Enterprise tied for 1st place by each shooting a 74. Beaver’s Kyler Moss came in third with a 76, Derk Memmott of Millard placed fourth with a 77 and Jacoby Boone of Beaver rounded out the top five with a 78.
