The investigation into a Millard County Sergeant regarding a hunt has been completed. According to a post to the Millard County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page, the Division of Wildlife Resources “found that the law was followed by Millard County Sgt. Mike Blad during this hunt.” It also stated that “Sgt. Blad has served Millard County honorably and will continue to serve diligently.” The post went on to say, “this issue has been put to rest by an external examination, even those involved within the incident have held their private conversations to resolve it. The lesson learned for all of us is to rely upon proper collection and examination of evidence and facts. Rarely can this occur at the speed of social media.” It finished by stating, “we understand the high level of character that is expected of us, and it is our commitment to continually strive to meet those standards. The Sheriff continually impresses upon staff the essence and importance of the Law Enforcement Code of Ethics and our duty to obey all laws. This Office strives every day to uphold these standards.”
