(St. George, UT) — Utah’s 2nd Congressional District Representative wants to see some change following an assassination attempt on former President Trump. Representative Celeste Maloy posted on social media that she was praying for the president and everybody impacted by the shooting Saturday in Pennsylvania. She also called on the nation to “lower the temperature of our political discourse.” Trump’s campaign says the former president was struck by a bullet on the upper ear, but he was evaluated at a hospital and is okay. Maloy represents the district that covers St. George and much of southern and western Utah.
