(Salt Lake City, UT) — A University of Utah survey shows that people moving here from out of state is the main factor behind Utah’s population growth. Last year, 56-percent of the state’s population growth was from out-of-state transplants. In terms of which counties have seen the most population growth recently, Utah County holds the top spot. For Utah as a whole, the statistics show that 2023 brought in nearly 56-thousand new residents.
