3A State Championship Match @ UVU
OREM, Utah-The No. 1 Emery Spartans won their second all-time state championship in volleyball with a 3-2 win over No. 2 Morgan to capture the 3A state title Thursday afternoon at the UCCU Center on the campus of Utah Valley University. The Spartans bested the Trojans 25-20, 21-25, 25-22, 22-25, 15-12. The Spartans broke their 27-year title drought as their last state championship in volleyball occurred in 1996.
3rd-4th Place Match @ UVU
OREM, Utah-The No. 5 Manti Templars achieved third place at the 3A state tournament with a 3-2 win over No. 6 Union Thursday at the UCCU Center. The Templars got past the Cougars 25-20, 20-25, 25-21, 21-25, 15-13.
5th-7th Place Match @ UVU
OREM, Utah-The No. 3 Carbon Dinos achieved fifth place with a 3-1 win over No. 8 Delta at the UCCU Center Thursday. The Dinos bested the Rabbits 25-21, 25-16, 19-25, 26-24.
