(Salt Lake City, UT) — Dates are now on the calendar for a special election in Utah’s Second Congressional District. Governor Spencer Cox signed a bill over the weekend for primary elections to be held September 5th and the general election to begin on November 21st. This after Congressman Chris Stewart announced he was resigning from his seat effective September 15th. The district includes Salt Lake City, St. George, Cedar City, and more. More than 20 candidates have filed to run for the seat, including over a dozen Republicans.
