Cox Asks Utahns To Donate $3 To Help Address Homelessness

(Salt Lake City, UT) — Governor Spencer Cox is asking Utahns to donate a little bit of money to help alleviate homelessness. It’s estimated that about 35-hundred people experience homelessness every night and 30-percent are families with children. At a news conference yesterday, Cox asked every Utahn who’s filing a tax return this year to donate just three, four, or five dollars to the Pamela Atkinson Homeless Trust Fund. Individuals and businesses can donate on their state tax returns, online at jobs.utah.gov, or by mailing a check using instructions on the Department of Workforce Services website.
