A student has been suspended after bringing a weapon into Fillmore Middle School. In a post to the Millard School District Facebook page on Mar. 28 it was shared that the school was contacted by several parents after school that day with reports from their students who saw a student with a gun in a backpack at school. An investigation by Millard County Sheriff’s Department concluded that the student brought an Airsoft BB gun to school and no threats or intent to harm anyone were made. The student was suspended from school per district policy. The school district reassured that no current threat exists from this situation and thanked the students and parents who brought it to their attention as well as the Millard County Sheriff’s Department for their prompt response.
