(Provo, UT) — Brigham Young University Academic Vice President Shane Reese is soon to become the school’s 14th president. Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Apostle Jeffrey R. Holland announced Reese’s appointment during a devotional service Tuesday morning. Reese will move into the president’s office on May 1st, when he succeeds outgoing President Kevin Worthen, who began his tenure in 2014. In announcing Reese’s appointment, Holland returned to the university he served as president from 1980 to ’89.
