LDS Church Donates Water To Great Salt Lake

(Salt Lake City, UT) — The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is doing its part to try and help save the Great Salt Lake. The church is donating the equivalent of more than 20-thousand acre feet of water. Governor Spencer Cox said the move “will make a real difference to the lake and the future of Utah.” Department of Natural Resources Executive Director Joel Ferry called the donation “invaluable because it’s a permanent, dedicated source of water that will benefit the lake year after year.”
