(Salt Lake City, UT) — The Utah Republican Party Chair will not run for re-election next month. Carson Jorgensen tells the Deseret News that he decided to wait until the Utah Legislature adjourned before announcing his decision to leave the post. Jorgensen has served as party chair since 2021. He plans to run for office next year but has not made a decision about a specific post. The state GOP will hold its party leadership election on April 22nd at Utah Valley University.
