Bill To Legalize Psilocybin Held By Senate Committee

(Salt Lake City, UT) — A Utah Senate bill that would have created a pilot program for the legal use of a psychedelic drug may not make it out of committee. Senate Bill 200 was held yesterday by the chamber’s Health and Human Services Committee. The bill would have allowed for limited use of psilocybin as a treatment for mental health patients. Governor Cox said last week that he wouldn’t support the bill.
