(Washington, DC) — Utah Senator Mitt Romney believes former President Donald Trump is best positioned to be the Republican presidential nominee in 2024. Romney said a crowded primary would most likely help Trump secure the nomination. He argued the only way to stop Trump would be to shrink the field to a one-on-one race against a viable candidate. Romney, who has been a frequent critic of Trump, said he wouldn’t support the former President if he wins the GOP nomination.
