(Salt Lake City, UT) — Utah’s lieutenant governor is urging state lawmakers to fully fund programs offering resources to victims of domestic violence. Deidre Henderson joined advocates and lawmakers during an event yesterday at the State Capitol. She asked lawmakers to fully fund the governor’s request for 50-million dollars to fund organizations that help victims of domestic violence. She said the state already spends enough money on criminals and should now focus on supporting survivors.
