(Provo, UT) — A service project organized by a Florida nonprofit put together thousands of Thanksgiving meals for hungry Utahns. More than a thousand missionaries from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints gathered early yesterday in a garage at the Missionary Training Center in Provo. Using food brought in by the group Hunger Fight, the volunteers prepared around 400-thousand meals. The pre-packaged meals were given to the Utah Food Bank for distribution to those in need.
