(Salt Lake City, UT) — Salt Lake County’s D.A. is criticizing Utah’s attorney general for becoming part of the ongoing court battle over the seizure of documents from former President Donald Trump. District Attorney Sim Gill tweeted yesterday that Attorney General Sean Reyes should stay out of the war of words between Trump and the Department of Justice. Reyes is among several Republican AGs who have signed on to a friend of the court brief in the case. Gill said Reyes should not be assisting in an attempt to violate the law and avoid accountability. The Attorney General’s Office has declined to comment on Gill’s tweet.
