A Delta man is in custody after a bomb threat. On Apr. 24, Millard County Dispatch received a phone call of a recording which stated that there was a bomb at the Millard County Jail. According to a release from the Millard County Sheriff’s Office, “appropriate measures were taken to verify the security of the facility, occupants and surrounding areas.”
After a threat assessment was done including the deployment of explosive detection K9 units it was announced that no explosive device or materials were discovered. On Apr. 27, after a thorough investigation, a 26 year old male from Delta was arrested for threat of terrorism, although no explosive making activity was observed.
Another adult male was taken into custody but was later returned to their residence. This is an active investigation and we will update you with more information when it becomes available.
