Utah House Committee Advances Bill On COVID-19 Vaccine Requirements

(Salt Lake City, UT) — A bill that would prevent Utah employers from asking for proof of vaccination from current and future employees is a step closer to approval. House Bill 60 was approved by the House Business and Labor Committee yesterday. The bill prohibits companies from asking for proof of vaccination for entry into businesses like grocery stores and movie theaters. It also bars many companies and government agencies from asking employees and job candidates about their vaccination status. Hospitals, schools and some other groups would be exempt from the requirements. The bill now goes to the House floor for a vote.
