(Farmington, UT) – Utah hunters will not have some of the high-tech advantages they may be used to for future seasons. The Utah Wildlife Board voted to ban the use of trail cameras between July 31st and December 31st, regardless of whether the device is manually operated, or heat or motion triggered. The board also voted to ban night-vision goggles or similar devices to locate big game animals. The move comes after state legislation to regulate trail cameras failed last year.
