FARMINGTON, Utah-Tuesday, the Big Sky Conference named Southern Utah University men’s basketball standout John Knight III its ROAR Organic Big Sky Men’s Basketball Player of the Week.

Knight III, a 6-3 senior guard, was named the MVP of the Palms Division at the Fort Myers Tip-Off last week.

Knight III averaged 19 points per game in the Thunderbirds’ wins over Yale and Bowling Green and shot 73.7 percent from the field while posting 10 net rebounds and 10 net assists in the two victories.

Knight III presently leads the Big Sky with 19.3 points per game and also averages 5.2 rebounds per contest on the season.

Knight III and his teammates commence the Big Sky season Thursday at Eastern Washington.
