(Salt Lake City, UT) — Utah Senator Mitt Romney is defending his support of an infrastructure package passed in Congress last week. Romney was one of 19 Republicans who supported the package during an August vote on the measure. Romney tells KSTU-TV that the bipartisan bill will bring billions of dollars to Utah for roads, public transportation, water projects and rural broadband expansion. However, the senator says he will not support a larger bill that provides funds for a variety of social programs supported by Democrats.
