SAN FRANCISCO-Monday, three Utah football standouts received weekly accolades from the Pac-12.
Obtaining for the honors for the Utes are junior center Nick Ford (offensive line player of the week) junior linebacker Devin Lloyd (defensive player of the week) and sophomore signal-caller Cameron Rising (offensive player of the week).
Ford helped the Utes amass 455 yards of offense in a 35-21 win over Arizona State last Saturday evening.
Lloyd netted a game-high 8 tackles including four tackles for a loss and a career-high three sacks in the win over the Sun Devils.
Later Monday, Lloyd earned Rose Bowl Game Pac-12 player of the week honors. This was confirmed by the Tournament of Roses and the Rose Bowl Game Football Committee.
Lloyd currently ranks No. 6 nationally in tackles per game (10.2).
Rising completed 21-33 passes for 247 yards, 2 TD’s and 2 INT’s against Arizona State.
Rising has now won Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week honors for the second consecutive week.
The 4-2 (2-0 in Pac-12 South) Utes return to action Saturday at Oregon State.
