(Salt Lake City, UT) — Utah state lawmakers are considering their options to potentially challenge a federal COVID-19 vaccine mandate for businesses. During a meeting at the State Capitol for the Health and Human Services Committee, the legislature heard from groups concerned that a mandate would lead to workers leaving their jobs. President Biden announced new requirements for businesses with more than 100 employees, saying those workers will either need to get vaccinated or submit to weekly testing. State lawmakers say they could put a bill on the table for the next legislative session to potentially curb the order.
