SALT LAKE CITY-Tuesday, Utah men’s basketball confirmed their season opener is slated for November 9 against Abilene Christian at the Huntsman Center.

November 9 is the opening night of the Division I men’s basketball season.

This meeting will be historic as it represents the first time the Utes and Wildcats, newly of the WAC and formerly of the Southland Conference, meet on the hardwood.

This will also be the first game at these respective programs (Craig Smith at Utah, Brette Tanner at Abilene Christian) for their new head coaches.
