New Wildfire Burning in Sevier County

Around 5:00 p.m. on July 7, authorities responded to a new wildfire burning in Sevier County. The Willow Creek Fire is burning a few miles south of Mayfield.

With the quick response of air & ground resources, the Willow Creek Fire was held to 48 acres. Federal & state crews, along with Dromedary Peak & Snake River Hotshots, will be working to establish containment July 8. The public is being asked to please avoid the area for firefighter and public safety.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
