Whittni Orton, Anna Camp, Each Place Eighth In Their Respective Events Saturday

AUSTIN, Texas-Saturday, a pair of former Mid-Utah Radio Sports Network school stars competed at the final day of competition at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field women’s championships at Mike A. Myers Stadium.

Former Panguitch High star, BYU junior Whittni Orton, placed eighth in the women’s 1500-meter run (4:14.73) while Oklahoma State junior Sinclaire Johnson (4:05.98) won the national championship in this event.

Her teammate, fellow junior Anna Camp, a former Millard High star, symmetrically placed eighth in the women’s 800-meter run (2:05.93). Texas A&M’s Jazmine Fray (2:01.31) won the national title in this event.

These two stars will return to BYU for one more season of competition, commencing with cross country in August.
