(Salt Lake City, UT) — The winner of the Republican primary for Utah’s Senate seat could face an uphill battle to keep that seat with the GOP. A new poll from the Hinckley Institute of Politics shows independent candidate Evan McMullin in striking distance of Senator Mike Lee, with Lee having a 41-to-37 advantage. Nineteen-percent of voters in that poll remain undecided. McMullin is one point behind Becky Edwards and 11 points ahead of Ally Isom in similar head-to-head polls. However, more than one-third of voters in those scenarios were undecided.
