SAN MATEO, Calif.-Wednesday, BYU women’s senior cross country star Whittni Orton earnes West Coasth Runner of the Month Award honors for the month of October.

Orton, a former Panguitch High School star, won the women’s 6-K October 17 at the OSU Invitational at Stillwater, Okla. in a time of 20:27.80.

Orton was one of six Cougars to finish in the top 10 in this event.

This was Orton’s fourth career meet title and sixth top-three finish
