SEATTLE-Saturday, former Panguitch High track star Whittni Orton made her season debut at the Dempsey Indoor Arena at the University of Washington in Seattle during the Washington Invitational.

Orton placed 11th overall in the women’s mile in a time of 4:38.46 and ran the first leg of BYU’s women’s distance medley along with Alena Ellsworth, Lauren Ellsworth and Erica Birk.

Also, former Millard High star Anna Camp competed for the Cougars as well at Seattle.

Camp placed 32nd in the women’s mile run, posting a time of 4:49.31 and was 19th in the women’s 800-mile run, posting a time of 2:10.03.

Camp, Orton and their teammates are again in action February 8 and 9. They will either compete at the Iowa State Classic at Ames, Iowa or the Texas Tech Shootout at Lubbock, Texas.
