VAN NUYS, Calif.-Friday, a pair of Mid-Utah Radio Sports Network school alums excelled at the West Coast Conference cross country championships at Woodley Lakes Golf Course.
BYU junior cross country/track star Whittni Orton, a former multi-sport star at Panguitch High School, won the WCC women’s 6-K individual title in a time of 19:49.27.

Additionally, fellow BYU junior Anna Camp, a former Millard High School multi-sport star placed 7th overall in a time of 20:35.97. in the event.
Orton and Camp will continue to compete November 15 at the NCAA Mountain Region Championships hosted by the University of Utah at Salt Lake City.
If they successfully compete at the Region Championships, they will also qualify for the NCAA Division I national championship meet November 23. This event will be hosted by Indiana State University at Terre Haute, Ind.
