SEATTLE-Saturday, Weber State star junior track and field athlete Kate Sorensen repped the Mid-Utah Radio Sports Network well with a strong performance at the UW Invitational hosted by the University of Washington.
Sorensen, a former Gunnison Valley High School multi-sport star athlete, earned third place in the 60-meter hurdles, posting a time of 8.69 seconds.
She presently has the Big Sky Conference’s lead in the 60-meter hurdles, at 8.59 seconds, set at the 2020 Snake River Open January 10-11 at Pocatello, Idaho.
Sorensen also placed sixth in the women’s 400-meter dash in a time of 56.17 seconds.
Sorensen and her Wildcats teammates are next in action Friday and Saturday at the Mountain States Games hosted by Idaho State University at Pocatello’s Holt Arena.
