Weber State Football To Host Southeast Missouri State Saturday

OGDEN, Utah-Saturday, Weber State football, fresh off of their bye to commence the NCAA FCS playoffs, will host Southeast Missouri State, a 28-14 winner over Stony Brook last weekend, at Stewart Stadium for a 2:00 pm kickoff.

This is a historic game for the Wildcats as it represents their first home game in December in program history.

The Redhawks represent the Ohio Valley Conference and come into Ogden sporting a record of 9-3.

This is the first meeting in history between these two squads.

The Wildcats, who had 13 players named to the first-team All-Big Sky Conference squad, would advance to the quarterfinals to play either Maine or Jacksonville State should they best Southeast Missouri State.

The Redhawks are led by junior quarterback Daniel Santacaterina, a transfer from FBS Northern Illinois, who has completed 60.6 percent of his passes for 2,734 yards, 28 touchdowns and seven interceptions.

His supporting cast includes tailback Marquis Terry (206 car, 1,226 yards, 14 TD’s) and receiver Kristian Wilkerson (59 rec, 863 yards and 14 touchdowns).

Junior outside linebacker Justin Swift (7.5 sacks, four interceptions) and junior inside linebacker Zach Hall (4 interceptions) lead the Redhawks’ defense.
