OGDEN, Utah-Monday, the NCAA FCS coaches preseason poll was released while Weber State football cracked the top 10, checking at #9.

The #1 team in the polls is defending national champion North Dakota State while James Madison is ranked second overall.

Rounding out the top 10 are Weber State’s Big Sky Conference rival Eastern Washington, South Dakota State, UC Davis, another Big Sky Conference squad, Jacksonville State, Maine, Wofford and Kennesaw State is directly behind the Wildcats at #10.

Also representing the Big Sky Conference in the polls is Montana State at #15.

The Wildcats are coming off of back-to-back appearances in the quarterfinals of the FCS playoffs and will commence the season August 31 at San Diego State.
