OGDEN, Utah-Monday, Weber State football has received more preseason recognition as the Wildcats were ranked eighth in the inaugural AFCA FCS Coaches Preseason Top 25 poll.
This is a poll voted on by all FCS coaches around the country.
Earlier this offseason, the Wildcats were ranked eighth in the STATS FCS preseason poll as well.
Defending national champion North Dakota State is the top-ranked team in the country in this poll. They are followed by James Madison, South Dakota State, Sam Houston State, Kennesaw State and Jacksonville State.
Eastern Washington, Weber State’s fellow Big Sky Conference member, is ranked seventh overall in the poll, just ahead of the Wildcats.
