OGDEN, Utah-Late Wednesday, the NCAA FCS Playoff Selection Committee released its public rankings while Weber State was ranked fourth overall.
The top overall ranking was given to defending national champion North Dakota State. James Madison was ranked second and UC Davis, Weber State’s Big Sky Conference brethren, checked in at third overall.
Rounding out the top 10 were Elon (#5), Kennesaw State (#6), South Dakota State (#7), Wofford (#8), Eastern Washington (#9) and Delaware (#10).
The Big Sky Conference and Colonial Athletic Association each had three teams in the top 10.
The FCS playoff selection show will be November 18 at 10:30 am MST.
If the Wildcats are able to sweep Sacramento State, Southern Utah and Idaho State to end the season, they should be assured their third straight FCS playoffs appearance.
If Weber State makes the playoffs, this will be the first time in history the Wildcats have made it for three consecutive seasons.
