NEW YORK CITY-Thursday, Wasatch Academy’s nationally-ranked boys basketball team (#10 in the Max Preps Xcellent Top 25) competes at the Geico High School Nationals.
The tournament, hosted by Christ the King High School of Middle Village, N.Y., features eight of the best high school boys basketball teams in the country.
The Tigers, who are 26-3 on the season, are the #6 seed and face the Oak Hill (Va.) Warriors, the #3 seed.
The Warriors, of Mouth of Wilson, Va., are 8-time national high school champions and are one of the most storied high school programs in the country.
Among the Warriors’ more prestigious alums are NBA standouts Carmelo Anthony, Rajon Rondo, Rod Strickland and Kevin Durant.
The Tigers play at 4:00 pm MDT and the game will be broadcast on ESPN-U.
