DENVER-Wednesday, the WAC men’s soccer preseason poll was released with the Utah Valley University men’s squad slated to finish fifth overall in the conference standings.

The Wolverines did not have anyone selected to the preseason all-conference team.

The projected champion this season is the Seattle U. Redhawks, the defending WAC tournament champions as they garnered nine first-place votes and 119 points.

The Redhawks are well represented on the all-WAC preseason team as senior midfielder Sergio Rivas is the conference preseason offensive player of the year and his teammate, senior defender Nathan Aune is the preseason defensive player of the year.
