UVU Men’s Basketball Adds New Assistant Thursday

OREM, Utah-Thursday, Utah Valley men’s basketball head coach Todd Phillips announced the hiring of former Wolverines standout Ivory “Trey” Young as the program’s director of player development.

Young spent the past two seasons as a graduate assistant at Virginia Commonwealth University.

Young has also served as an assistant coach at St. Thomas High School of Houston.

Young starred at UVU from 2015-16-2016-17, posting 7.5 points and 2.1 rebounds per game for the Wolverines.

Young is a 2017 graduate of UVU and earned a master’s degree at VCU. He also spent two seasons playing professionally in Australia.
