DENVER-Monday, Utah Valley baseball senior shortstop Trevor Howell was named as the WAC hitter of the week as announced by the league office.

In a series win over Sacramento State, the San Diego native went 7-14 at the plate with a 1.071 slugging percentage and four extra base hits.

Howell has now reached base safely in 23 consecutive games and is tied for the team lead with 12 doubles.

This is the Wolverines’ second weekly award of the season. Junior right-hander Paxton Schultz earned WAC pitcher of the week accolades earlier this year.
