(Salt Lake City, UT)  —  According to his peers, Utah Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell is the top rookie.

Mitchell was announced as the winner of the Leader of the New School Award on Wednesday, given to the top rookie as voted by the National Basketball Player’s Association.

Mitchell and 76ers guard Ben Simmons are front-runners for the NBA’s Rookie of the Year Award, which is voted on by the media.
