SALT LAKE CITY-Because COVID-19 canceled his pro day at the University of Utah, former Utes tailback Zack Moss has taken matters into his own hands, enhancing his draft stock in the process.
During a private workout he posted to social media, Moss has been seen running an electronically timed 4.52 40-yard dash.
This is .13 seconds faster than what he ran at the NFL Combine last month at Indianapolis, as he checked in at 4.65 at that event.
Moss is highly thought of by scouts, most notably for his ability to gain yards after contact and his skills as a capable blocker.
It seems most likely at this stage that Moss will go in the third or fourth round, making him a Day 2 selection at the NFL Draft. He is the No. 90 overall prospect, per The Draft Network.
Moss has run for 4,067 yards and 38 scores as a collegian and added 685 yards and three scores as a receiver for the Utes.
