Utah State Football Adds Two Players To 2019 Roster

LOGAN, Utah-Friday, USU football head coach Gary Andersen announced the signing of two players to the Aggies’ 2019 roster.

Josh Bowcut, a 6-5 280-pound defensive tackle out of Sherwood, Ore. and a returned Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints missionary from the Arizona Tucson Mission, signed with the Aggies after originally signing with Oregon State when Andersen was the Beavers’ coach.

During his varsity career at Sherwood High School, Bowcut amassed 68 tackles and 10.5 sacks for the Bowmen.

Additionally, Jaylin Bannerman, a 6-5 240-pound defensive end out of Pickerington, Ohio, signed with the Aggies after a standout season at Arizona Western College of Yuma, Ariz. in 2018. Bannerman posted 28 tackles, 1.5 sacks, 2.5 tackles for a loss and a fumble recovery in 11 games for the Matadors.

Bannerman commenced his collegiate career at Kentucky.
