LOGAN, Utah-Tuesday, news broke that Utah State men’s basketball alum Diego Brito inked his first professional contract, officially joining Rio Ourense Termal of Ourense, Spain on Monday.
During his career with the Aggies, the 6-6 guard out of Povoa de Varzim, Portugal posted 6.6 points and 2.1 assists per game
The Portuguese national played in 120 games overall for Utah State, the 10th most in school history.
This past season, Brito averaged 8.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.4 steals per game, earning distinction as a “Swiss-army-knife player” by Aggies head coach Craig Smith.
Brito earned a degree in exercise science from Utah State University while achieving academic all-Mountain West and Mountain West scholar athlete honors all four years.
