IRVING, Texas-Wednesday, Utah senior safety R.J. Hubert was named a semifinalist for the Campbell Trophy.

This award is annually bestowed upon the best college football scholar-athlete in the nation for his combined academic success, football performance and exemplary leadership.

The National Football Foundation will announce 12-14 finalists October 26. Each of them will receive an $18,000 postgraduate scholarship as members of the 2022 NFF National Scholar-Athlete Class with the winner of the trophy being announced December 6. The winner will have his postgraduate scholarship increased to $25,000.

Hubert is a 2021 graduate of the University of Utah in communications and is a three-time All-Pac-12 Academic Honor Roll selection.

Hubert has a pick six, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery for the Utes this season.
