SAN FRANCISCO-Monday, the Pac-12 confirmed that Utah men’s basketball sophomore forward Timmy Allen has been named to the all-conference second team.
Allen, a 6-6 rising star out of Mesa, Ariz., leads the Utes in scoring (17.5 points per game) and rebounding (7.3 boards per game) this season.
Allen also scored in double figures in all but two Pac-12 conference games this season.
As the brightest star for the No. 9 seed Utes in the Pac-12 Tournament, headed into Wednesday’s game against No. 8 seed Oregon State at Las Vegas, Allen is one of only eight players in Division I to average 17 points, 7 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1 steal per game.
Furthermore, per baketballreference.com, Allen is the only Power 5 conference student-athlete to do so.
