SAN FRANCISCO-Monday, Utah men’s basketball sophomore Both Gach earned Pac-12 player of the week honors by virtue of his strong performance in the Utes’ 74-72 win over Colorado Saturday.

Gach, a 6-6, 183-pound guard out of Austin, Minn., netted 28 points, five rebounds, four assists and two steals in the Utes’ dramatic win against the Buffaloes that may have seriously damaged Colorado’s NCAA Tournament hopes.

Gach and his teammates return to action Wednesday at 2:00 pm MDT to commence the Pac-12 Tournament against the Oregon State Beavers at the T-Mobile Arena of Las Vegas.

The Utes are the No. 9 seed in the Pac-12 Tournament.
