Utah Jazz Loses Bojan Bogdanovic To Season-Ending Wrist Injury; Walt Perrin To Be Hired By Knicks

SALT LAKE CITY-Monday, per a report from ESPN NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski, whenever the NBA’s season resumes, the Utah Jazz will have to do without one of their most important players.

Wojnarowski confirmed that Jazz small forward Bojan Bogdanovic is lost for the season as he will undergo wrist surgery.

The 31-year-old Bosnian national, who is in his sixth season, was averaging a career-high 20.2 points for the 41-23 Jazz, who are presently No. 4 in the Western Conference standings.

Bogdanovic also added 4.1 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game for Utah in his first season with the Jazz.

Bogdanovic was drafted in the 2011 NBA Draft with the No. 31 overall selection by the Miami Heat.

He first played in the NBA for the Brooklyn Nets (2014-2016-17) and has also spent time with the Washington Wizards (2016-17) and Indiana Pacers (2017-19).

He has averaged 14.2 points and 3.5 rebounds per game for his career.

Bogdanovic will undergo this surgery Tuesday.

Furthermore, The Athletic senior NBA writer Shams Charania confirms Jazz vice president of player personnel Walt Perrin will be hired by the New York Knicks to work in their front office.

Perrin has been in this position for the Jazz since the 2008-09 season.

Prior to this, Perrin worked as a scout for the Minnesota Timberwolves (1993-1995) and the Detroit Pistons (1995-2002).

Charania confirmed that Perrin has been with the Jazz in various roles since 2002.
