SALT LAKE CITY-Friday, the Utah Jazz announced they had exercised team options for the 2020-21 season on center Tony Bradley and guard Donovan Mitchell.
Bradley, a 6-11 248-pound North Carolina product, is in his third season with the squad and averages 2.1 points and 2.2 rebounds in 5.4 minutes per game with the Jazz.
Last April 10, Bradley posted career highs of 15 points, 10 rebounds and 2 blocks in 143-137 overtime loss to the Los Angeles Clippers.
The 21-year-old has appeared in 44 games (each of which were starts) with the franchise’s G-league affiliate, the Salt Lake City Stars. In those contests, Bradley has averaged 14.5 points on 58.4 percent shooting from the field, 8.7 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.3 blocks in 27.7 minutes per contest.
Mitchell, a rising star entering his third season, posts 22.1 points, 3.9 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 1.4 steals in 156 career games.
Last season, Mitchell led all NBA sophomores with 23.8 points per game, becoming the first second-year NBA player to do so since future Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame member Dwyane Wade did so for the Miami Heat in 2004-05.
Over the course of his first 140 games, Mitchell had exceeded 3,000 points (3,011), 500 rebounds (539) and 500 assists (539). Only eight players have achieves this in history, including Hall of Famers Mitch Richmond, Allen Iverson, Michael Jordan, Earl Monroe and Oscar Robertson, as well as standout Sidney Wicks and current Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James.
