SALT LAKE CITY-Thursday, University of Utah redshirt sophomore defensive end John Henry Daley, a former Lone Peak High School star, was added to the Bednarik Watch List per a statement from the Maxwell Football Club.

Daley presently leads the nation in sacks with 6.5 and is tied for the national lead with 8.5 tackles for a loss.

The native of Alpine, Utah is the only player this season in the Big 12 with at least an assisted sack in every game this season.

Semifinalists for this award will be announced November 11.

Daley and his Utah teammates return to action October 11 by hosting the Arizona State Sun Devils at Rice-Eccles Stadium as the Big 12 season ensues for both squads.
