University of Utah Athletics Achieves Record Fundraising Year

SALT LAKE CITY-Per a report published Thursday, University of Utah athletics had a successful fundraising year as they set a record for contributions to the various programs.

Under the direction of athletic director Mark Harlan, the U of U surpassed the $34 million threshold in fundraising for the fiscal year (July 1, 2018-June 30, 2019).

This consists of donations to the annual fund and all signed gift agreements. The donations consist of both scholarship seating and donations to the Crimson Club Excellence Fund.

This directly supports competitive and academic endeavors for more than 500 student-athletes representing the university.

Harlan confirmed the athletic department appreciates the support and their goal remains to create the best environment for Utes student-athletes to succeed in all of their endeavors.

Of the fundraising contributions, $22.4 million were generated in gift agreements.

These projects include the expansion of Rice-Eccles Stadium and the Dumke Gymnastics Center as well as the newly-constructed Golf Indoor Training Facility.
